I was one of those kids who was really into everything.

I couldn’t pick just one after-school activity growing up, jumping to different practices and performances for each night of the week. My college major changed more than a few times before I settled on two wildly different degrees.

Being an equal-opportunity generalist landed me in a lot of interesting places in my early career. Like spending my Saturdays prepping a recording studio for the next band. Skydiving for a Toyota campaign. Profiling music festival headliners. Chasing Puerto Rican waterfalls for an editorial shoot.

I’m a bit more discerning with my time these days, but I also don’t know how to like things a “normal” amount. So whenever I’m into something, I’m in it. I dive deep, obsess, make it my entire personality. It’s a process.

But even now, I’ll still try almost anything once.
